James Bond is my least favorite hero. I cannot relate to him.
He is too smart, has zero self-doubt, and doesn’t seem to make a single mistake. Basically, invincible.
Po, on the other hand, is a hero that I relate to. Po is flawed and has a belly like me. He is insecure and has a ton of doubts. It’s much more fun and (emotional) to watch him be successful and overcome adversity.
Here’s my point – In our Marketing stories, we can make our heroes relatable.
Don’t make them invincible. Make them an overweight Panda.
